News You Can Use DO-NOT-CALL REGISTRY If you include your phone number on the National Do-Not-Call Registry, it will expire after 5 years. To extend your request or to add your phone number(s), go to http://www.donotcall.gov/ may hear or read about since them may be scams. Although it doesn't eliminate ALL unsolicited calls, it has been proven to reduce the number of calls you would receive. . . . . . YOUR AGE AS DETERMINED BY EATING OUT HABITS It takes less than a minute. Work this out as you read ... Be sure you don't read the bottom until you've worked it out! It's fun. 1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to go out to eat..(more than once but less than 10). 2. Multiply this number by 2. 3. Add 5. 4. Multiply it by 50. 5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1757; if you haven't, add 1756. 6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born. Assuming you did the math correctly... - You should have a three digit number. - The first digit is your original number. (i.e., How many times you want to go out to restaurants in a week.) - The next two numbers are YOUR AGE ! ------ (Oh YES, it is!!!) THIS IS THE ONLY YEAR (2007) IT WILL EVER WORK, SO SPREAD IT AROUND WHILE IT LASTS 5 . . . Interesting Sites POSTCARDS FROM SAN DIEGO'S PAST http://tinyurl.com/3aj73k . . . . . Bits and Bytes of Humor From the Periodic Table: C = carbon Ho = holmium Co = cobalt La = lanthanum Te = tellurium Put them all together, you get CHoCoLaTe -- better living through chemistry! ----- An elderly woman and her little grandson, whose face was sprinkled with bright freckles, spent the day at the zoo. Lots of children were waiting in line to get their cheeks painted by a local artist who was decorating them with tiger paws. 'You've got so many freckles, there's no place to paint!' a girl in the line said to the little fella. Embarrassed, the little boy dropped his head. His grandmother knelt down next to him. 'I love your freckles. When I was a little girl I always wanted freckles, she said, while tracing her finger across the child's cheek. 'Freckles are beautiful!' The boy looked up, 'Really?' 'Of course,' said the grandmother. 'Why, just name me one thing that's prettier than freckles.' The little boy thought for a moment, peered intently into his grandma's face, and softly whispered, 'Wrinkles.' Your source for life-long learning
